Saint Michael's Academy

a Catholic homeschool cooperative located near Ellicott City, Maryland - serving the Howard County, Carroll County, Montgomery County and Baltimore County areas

Classes

St. Michael’s Academy is a college prep homeschooling cooperative utilizing a variety of venues to help our children achieve their highest potential in order to gain access to the college of their choice and to attain their calling in life.

We cultivate our high school young adults to view themselves as servants in our community and encourage them to discern what gifts God has given them to share with others.

Because our emphasis is on community service, we offer an affordable option for a superior education of the whole child. We charge $100.00 per semester per family plus the costs of each class's materials.  Our teachers are parents in the cooperative and receive no compensation because our mission is one of service to our neighbors.

As St. Michael's Academy is committed to meeting all requirements of the Maryland Department of Education, we recognize that not all of the required classes are offered.  It is expected that all subjects are taken even if not offered during our coop days (i.e., math).  We recognize that the parent is the primary educator to ensure that all requirements are fulfilled.

We are a cooperative and will ask that each family do their part either by teaching or by filling some other need.
